Ride the Test with Ida Norris 2027 Western Dressage Tests
Learning a new test is one thing. Knowing how to ride it well is another.
Ride the Test with Ida Norris is an audio-based training series designed to take the new 2027 Western Dressage tests out of the book and into your schooling sessions at home.
For each test, Ida walks you through the pattern, explains what to expect, and shares practical tips for riding the movements, preparing your horse, and making the most of every part of the test.
Then it’s time to practice. Each test includes a test-calling audio track designed to use while schooling at home. Put in your earbuds, head to your arena, and let Ida call the test while you ride through it—no extra person standing ringside with a test sheet needed.
Use the audio to: Learn the new 2027 Western Dressage tests Understand how to better prepare for each movement Practice your geometry, transitions, and accuracy School the complete test with Ida calling it for you Build confidence and familiarity before competition day.
Whether you're learning your first Western Dressage test or preparing to compete under the new 2027 tests, Ride the Test gives you a practical way to learn and practice from the saddle. School it at home. Learn it with confidence. Then ride down centerline ready.
Ride the Test audio is designed for schooling and practice at home, not for use while riding a test in competition.

"I recently attended the Western Dressage Training wheel class and I can't recommend it enough! The class was a valuable learning experience that deepened my understanding of each spoke of the training wheel. The concepts were broken down in a approachable way, yet detailed enough to challenge and expand my skills. One of the highlights of this course was receiving personalized feedback from Ida. Ida's attention to detail and ability to provide multiple solutions to problems that I was experiencing was extremely beneficial. It was clear that Ida genuinely wants every participant to succeed and grow. This class is an excellent resource for both newcomers to Western Dressage and seasoned riders looking to improve their riding in accordance with western dressage values. "

I look forward to every Thursday when I have my weekly virtual lesson with Ida. All the knowledge and information Ida has shared with me has been instrumental in helping me become a better rider and trainer for all of my horses not just my main western dressage horse. I so appreciate her commitment to this sport and her desire to educate everyone. I wish I would’ve meet her and started working with her years ago!.
